Home School Council


The purpose of Home School Council is to bring a closer relationship between the home an the school, so that the parents, working with the school, will secure for every child the highest advantage in spiritual, moral, mental and physical education.

Home School Council consists of parents who meet monthly with Sister Kathy Avery, our principal, and a teacher representative to plan activities and fundraising for our school.


If you are interested in participating in this group please talk to Sister Kathy or one of the officers. Home School Council always welcomes new members and new ideas!

Home School Council is responsible
for several activities throughout the year.
  • Back to School Pizza Party
  • Halloween Party for school children
  • Game Night
  • Breakfast with Santa
  • Teacher Luncheon to celebrate Catholic Schools Week
  • Family Dance
  • Math Night
  • End of Year Potluck

Money raised through our fundraising program in September is used to fund these events. Other projects funded with HSC fundraising money:

  • Internet service throughout the school
  • Updating school computers
  • Mulch for the playground
  • New student textbooks
  • Fees for teacher conferences
  • Physical education equipment
  • Student field trips
